Architectural 3D Modeling Services - 3D
Exterior-Interior Modeling
By Bobby V Smith
3D modeling services and its concepts are widely used in almost each
business sector related with Real Estate Industries. Use of
architectural 3D modeling services in constructing a building allows
builders to complete their building activities with better
visualization of building structures. 3D modeling services are
therefore more important than any other architectural services.
Starting with architectural 3D modeling services, first of all the
concept of architectural 3D modelings should be cleared. 3D modeling
is a method of creating 3D models or 3D objects with various 3D
representations. This 3D models can be of anything, they can be of
car, bottles etc. Architectural 3D modelings services represent this
concept of 3D modelings. Here 3D models of different building
architectures and structures are developed using core concept of 3D
modelings.
Architectural 3D modelings services are easy to use and maintain as
they are performed using latest CAD software. Flexibility and
accuracy makes these services much more vital in building
construction and designs. Architectural 3 D modeling services have
two major features:
o 3D Exterior Modeling
o 3D Interior Modeling
3D exterior modeling, as the name indicates, is all about creating
3D exterior models of every possible building exterior. Following
fields use these 3D exterior modeling service the most:
o Residential Buildings
o Commercial Buildings
o Healthcare Buildings
o Buildings in Leisure Industry
o Restaurants
o Clubs, hotels, theme parks
o Industrial Buildings
o Institutional Buildings
The other feature - 3D interior modeling is related with building
interiors. These 3D interior modeling service help you to make your
building impressive and effective as far as inner look is concerned.
Here 3D interior models are created using each possible angle and
dimension. 3D modeling specialists do this work with greater
accuracy and speed. These 3D interior modeling service help you in
developing attractive:
o Kitchen
o Bathroom
o Bed Room
o Living Room
o Furniture
o Conference Room
o Business Room
In short, for better building designing and construction,
architectural 3-D modeling services are decisive. They will make you
sure about better outputs such as excellent architectural 3D models
of building exterior and interiors.
Interior Design Essentials - How Architecture Affects Design
By Matt Hick
The architectural of a building or room can have a dramatic affect
on its ultimate design. Interior design isn't always about changing
things or creating something brand new. The best designs often take
an aspect of the room or building and make them the focal point in
order to enhance the style that it already present.
Designers with an eye toward this form of enhancement, and who are
willing to step back are likely to succeed in a world of showoffs
who care little about the integrity of the design, but only want to
be the first to try something new and outlandish.
When trying to design a room, take a good hard look at its
architectural design to help set a mood and style. While you may be
able to gut an old worn Victorian kitchen and turn into a high-scale
modern one, something would definitely be lost. Why not take the
opportunity to showcase your talent and ingenuity by trying to
capture the essence of the architectural style and taste by
preserving the style in a way that still enables the homeowner to
enjoy all the modern conveniences of today?
Keep your eye out for unique room dimensions; unusual window
casements; intricate moldings and trims; old fireplaces and doors.
Sure, it would be easy to rip out (or paint over) and old brick
fireplace and replace it with new sleek travertine, but ask yourself
firs is something important would be lost if you did.
Too many buildings today are built exactly alike, making the
designer's job more difficult to try and create a unique setting for
each homeowners of office. When you are lucky enough to be given the
chance to re-do a local artifact, use its unique design and
architecture to showcase its beauty - even if doesn't quite match
your personal style.
So, what should you be looking for when doing your initial
walk-through for ideas? Here are a few places to start:
Original Fixtures.
Although original lighting and plumbing fixtures can rarely be used
as -is, you can either have them refaced, or you can buy new "retro"
ones that offer the same style of the originals, but which feature,
newer more modern features. The same is true for things like old
claw foot bathtubs; sinks and even ovens found in the kitchen.
Woodwork.
Many older homes and buildings sport beautiful woodwork and hardwood
flooring. It can be expensive and time consuming to have them redone
vs. ripping them out or painting over them, but is well worth the
effort.
Large windowsills and older casings.
Preserving older windows can be tricky since there are energy
efficiencies to consider. But, it is possible to preserve the same
look and feel of the older windows and still be able to attain more
modern temperature control.
Classic Colors.
One way to preserve an older style is by using original colors in
the rooms and exterior. Research the original time period of the
building to see what was popular in its heyday.
Interior Architectural Lighting Fixtures
By Tom Reel
The growing desire for new home construction and home renovations
have influenced fixture manufacturers to design more exciting and
provocative architectural lighting fixtures. Larger homes require
more architectural lighting - or luminaries that are permanently
installed and planned for in the lighting or wiring plan of a home.
Lighting trends can change slowly - the fixture bought today will
last in style and durability for 5 to 10 years or longer. However,
manufacturers continuously respond to consumer s' desire for color
and novel materials. Recent trends point to the demand for oversized
foyer pieces for dramatic, grand entryways, mini-chandeliers for
powder rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and other small spaces, and
colourful pendants for kitchen applications. I will give my two
cents on how to choosing chandeliers, pendants, and ceiling flush
mounts and semi-flush mounts for different parts of the house.
The best piece of advice in choosing a dining room table chandelier
is to choose a chandelier that has a diameter equivalent to half the
width of the table. So let's say that your table has a width of 60
inches, you would need a chandelier that has a 30-inch diameter. If
you have a table that is longer than usual it might be a challenge
for you to find the right chandelier. One solution is to get a
fixture that has an oval shape (as opposed to being round) - this
way more of the dining space will be lit up. You can put chandeliers
in other places than just the dining room. Depending on a room's
size and design, it can be an appropriate place to hang a
chandelier. Mini chandeliers are perfect for bathrooms or bedrooms,
depending on your taste. Foyers are also a very common place to put
chandeliers. The larger the foyer, the larger the chandelier will
need to be. Remember that installation may be a challenge.
Ceiling mounts are an obvious way to provide general lighting. They
can be installed as flush mounts (attached to the ceiling directly)
or semi-flush (hang slightly lower from the ceiling than flush
mounts). The difference in lighting effect from using a semi-flush
entraps the light more and will make it reflect onto the ceiling. If
well placed, flush mounts can become the central fixture in a room.
When choosing a pendant, the most important point to consider is
that the fixture light up the room according to the diameter of its
shade. If all you want is to light up a small table or corner of a
room, then all you need is a single pendant downlight.
Interior
Design Style
By Natasha LimaYounts
In most design projects, a great deal of planning takes place before
the selection of furnishings. Designers consider the function of the
space, the personalities and life-style of the occupants of the
residence, the architectural characteristics of the dwelling, the
lighting, color preferences and colors adjacent to the space-both
indoors and out, the 'givens' of the space, including the materials
used on the exterior and the interior of the building and, of
course, the budget parameters. As the planning develops, furniture
is considered only in a generalized way. Designers often use generic
templates to space plan. What determines the style of furniture to
be used? How will you know which styles to mix and how to do so with
confidence, cleverness, and originality? Will you develop a single
style, French country, classic modern, Asian, West Indies,
neo-classical or will you enjoy working with a variety of styles?
The observation of historical development in architecture, interior
design and furniture will often help you tap into a style that
pleases you. None of these three elements can be studied separately,
so this is a large topic, particularly for people who have little
historical background or design experience in one style only. Have
you heard it said that to break the rules you must know the rules?
This is true in design. Unless you know the various architectural
characteristics of different historical times and how interiors were
designed to function in a way that complemented those interiors, you
will never be able to fully appreciate how designers use their
knowledge of style and history for inspiration, going beyond direct
imitation with clever or respectful references to the past, while
being innovative and original. Make it a point to visit historic
buildings and interiors, museums and homes to learn about the
historical development of design. The story of furniture is
inextricably linked with the story of civilization, in our case
western civilization primarily, since it was the Europeans who came
to the U.S. first, bringing with them their belongings, memories and
skills. The further back you go in history, the less you can know
about residential interiors, since only buildings made of stone or
items carefully hidden from the elements survived to give us insight
into a way of life. When we look at historical artifacts, we are
typically seeing what once belonged to the governing elites or the
aristocracy-unless of course we look at public buildings designed
for use by everyone-civic buildings, temples, churches, even baths.
We only know about more modest dwellings of very recent times.
Developments in furniture styles are stimulated by the following:
political or economic change, discoveries (such as the
archaeological excavations of Pompeii and King Tut's tomb); contact
with faraway places-seeing something new; changes in technology and
production techniques and the keen creative power of gifted
designers working to meet the needs of their era for both function
and beauty. Each historic style period has unique influences and
particular style characteristics. As an informed designer, you want
to be able to recognize and identify the various eras of design
style and the characteristics of the various historic styles.
Hopefully you will enjoy the exploration of style that you encounter
in this section, acknowledging and appreciating the power of human
adaptability and creativity in creating functional, aesthetically
pleasing designs.
