For artists who specialize in interior renderings, a comprehensive understanding of interior design is required. Interior design is the process of shaping the experience of any interior space, through the means of manipulating spatial volume and surface treatment. Not only does interior design require an understanding of architecture, it also requires knowledge of environmental psychology, product design, furniture properties, and decoration.
