Professionalism Has Value In 3D Architectural Visualization Rendering Design

By Melissa Marie Marcy Co-Author: L Obando

In today's world of 3D rendering architectural design, the designer needs stand out from the crowd in order to obtain clients. What can you offer clients that your competitors cannot. Bragging rights if you are famous... but most of us are not. An extremely low price which is what some resort to, but it is not recommended - both for your own survival and the survival of the industry as a whole. Promotional freebies perhaps, whether it be a slightly lower promotional price or a free knick-knack so people feel like they've won something. Realistically, the best thing that we have to offer our clients as professionals is just that: professionalism. Most designers have had extensive training and are extremely talented at what they do - we have paid our dues and that is worth more to a good client than extra knick-knacks or low prices. In my opinion, the companies who lower their prices to sub-standard levels are not doing anything positive for their public image. Bidding low sends a message to potential clients that says "I'm not good at what I do, so I have to charge less than everyone else to get business." That is not a professional image and while it may get some clients (who will probably disrespect you, after all... you aren't worth much), it will not obtain the higher-level clients that will help you to thrive and grow your business.

So how do we create a professional image? There are several ways to do this:

First and foremost, dress appropriately and display intelligence and confidence. Your words, actions and appearance will do more to either boost or hinder your professional image than any of the following steps. Next, have professionally designed cards, brochures and stationary printed... often the most impressive brochure wins.
Join professional organizations - prospective clients search these websites to find design professionals and it will boost client confidence to see you as an accepted member of the profession. Invest in a professionally designed website.
Having a well designed website displaying your work demonstrates competence and can give clients a sense of comfort... bad websites will drive away business. In addition, websites are like a digital portfolio - you can reach more people and allow your work to speak for itself.
Finally, when presenting to a client, your design has to have wow factor. Even if you do all of the above, if you deliver poorly, you can lose your client. One way to produce the "wow" is by using 3d visualization, either as an image or an animation, to convey your design to the client.

Not only can it show your design more realistically, but the technique itself is impressive and can help you to obtain premium clients. Since most designers do not have the time to invest learning new software or producing these renderings, a viable solution is outsourcing. By outsourcing you eliminate the software and training costs, obtain a better product, and can devote your time to more profitable or urgent tasks. Be sure to do some research before selecting a visualization company. Ask if the people working for the firm have experience in the industry and see if you can get some high resolution samples of their work to judge the quality. Most 3d visualization companies have websites online where you can compare their styles, quality and prices.

3D Architectural Rendering

By Alison Cole

3D architectural rendering, as the name itself suggests, is a three-dimensional view of an object. In this context we mean a building or a house you want constructed. A 3D view is definitely more expressive and exciting than a 2D view because 3D architectural rendering gives you the opportunity to play with your imagination to get a more realistic, imaginative, and comprehensive impression of what you require in your building.

3D architectural rendering is possible by using a rendering module to view your project from various aspects or angles, and then make modifications accordingly. 3D rendering is generated by the computer in the form of virtual images, which are created with the help of original designs. Virtual images give you the same experience or the feel of the place as if you were actually present there. You can see the house in all its details, its ceilings, walls, floors, doors, fixtures, furniture and the surrounding landscape. You can even manipulate the pictures and the animated or moving videos forward and backward, to get the required look.

3D architectural rendering requires a great amount of technical expertise in animation or multimedia manipulation. 3D architectural rendering, made possible by computer-aided design, is both creative and time saving. This is especially true when you think of altering models made manually. The 3D architectural renderings can also be presented in form of the digital photographs.

3D presentations are more costly as compared to other forms of presentations. This is because of the complex technologies involved in preparing them. The manually drawn illustrations or models are time consuming, while the 3D presentations are quickly created without the need to acquire different materials, colors, paints or brushes and allow better interactivity between the designer and the owner. Changes, if required, can therefore be incorporated immediately. Even after the model is finally approved, the new ideas, if any, can also be incorporated at later stages. The various aspects of the buildings, including rooms, stairs, lifts, surroundings, color schemes, paints and designs can be presented in form of videos in great detail, which is not possible in manually created models.

Outline Drawing Using Grids to Better Visualizing

By Jan Hackett

Whether you are a watercolorist creating portraits, pet portraits, landscapes and seascapes you need to start with a drawing. What a great way to utilize visualization while drawing is to use a grid. How hard is it to see all the detail lines, the small shadows and curves that make up a drawing. Famous masters like, Albrect Durer, Leonardo DaVinci and Michelangelo used grids to help them capture accurate details in their drawings.

When drawing you need to concentrate on the lines not the whole of the picture you are drawing. You can do this with anything that you would like to draw, maybe a picture in a magazine or an old photo you have and with digital cameras you could take any photo and turn it into an outline drawing. Let's use your hand as an example of a drawing you would like to do. Take a photo of your hand, now you want to do a black and white rendering of that photo. Are you looking at the photo of your hand wondering were to begin. Now comes the easy part. Let's draw it using a grid.

A grid can be of any size, or run in any direction, as long as it is made up of equal size spaces. When drawing a grid the best way is to have the grid made up of squares not rectangles. Take the photo and draw a grid over the top of the image of your hand, make sure that the squares are of equal size. Now on your drawing paper, draw another grid using the same number of grid squares that you have drawn over you photo of our hand. Make sure that you lightly draw the grid lines, allowing you to erase the lines when you have completed the drawing. The grid squares can be larger to create a larger scale of our hand or the squares can smaller then the original grid you drew over your photo. You must make sure the squares are equal in size.

As you start to recreate the photo by drawing it you need to focus on one square at a time. Reproducing the lines in the square you are working on. Make sure that the proportions, the lines, markings and the positioning of the lines and markings are the same as the grid on the photo. Focusing on only one square at a time you can define the details in your subject that you may have noticed with out the benefit of using a grid. The grid is allowing you to break down the subject into more visual and smaller portions, allowing you to capture a more accurate drawing then if you were free handing the drawing. If you have an area that is more detailed, you can subdivide the squares into several smaller reference lines, squares and/or triangles to allow you to see, visualize and draw the detailed area.

When you are sketching in each square of the subject, you need to draw lightly, so you can make corrections easily. When you have completed your sketch of the photo of your hand or another subject and you have it looking very realistic with details, shadows and definitions, you can go back over the correct lines to darken the subject.

Using a grid helps you train your eye to see what is really there.

Let's review the use of the grid technique:

It is simple and you will capture more detail when drawing complex subjects
Grid can be of any size, run in any direction, but needs to be made up of equal size spaces and squares are usually the best to work with
Use the same number of grid squares on our drawing paper as you have drawn over you subject
Only draw one square at a time
You can start our drawing by using any square
Lightly draw so you can make corrections easily
For detailed areas, subdivide one square into several smaller squares and/or triangles as grid reference lines

Professional 3D Architectural Rendering Services and Its Benefits

By Richard M Bothom

3D Architectural rendering is the conceptual demonstration of an architectural design, often accomplished with the aid of computer software in 3D environment. Most real estate companies today requires professional 3D architectural rendering services to make effective sales presentations and inexpensively communicate a variety of construction possibilities to their prospective clients. Architectural CAD services provider offers reliable solutions with suitable software tools and technical support eliminating most of overhead costs!

A professional architect may choose to purchase premium computer aided design (CAD) software to generate an architectural rendering. Such software comes with a variety of capabilities, allowing users to attach manufacturing details and pricing to objects represented within the 3D rendering. Architectural firms may also prefer to create an architectural rendering with the aid of other media, such as video cameras or solid models. If you outsource architectural rendering services then you need not have to invest in costly softwares and related instruments.

Private property owners hire Architectural CAD services provider to carefully craft renderings for a low-cost dream home project. This computer rendering gives builder a better understanding of the cost of construction materials. Additionally, by using these tools, users are able to visualize both the exterior of a house as well as a variety of its interior aspects.

Store proprietors may use a professionally-produced 3D rendering to prearrange advertising displays prior to launching a new advertising campaign. Similarly, restaurant owners may use such 3D renderings to control elements such as silverware selection or even table placement in their restaurants.
