What is the tallest building in the world? This question spawns many
disparate answers, depending on one’s definition of “tallest” and
“building.” If one is talking about the tallest anything, period,
then it is the KVLY-TV mast, a 630-metre television transmitting tower. The
tallest building in the world, however, is the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada.
If one is talking about functionality, though, then Taipei 101, a skyscraper
in Taipei, China, holds the record: Taipei 101 is the tallest building in
the world in terms of ground to highest occupied floor. |
